“சத்தியத்தையும் அறிவீர்கள், சத்தியம் உங்களை விடுதலையாக்கும் என்றார்.”
“Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
12 மறுபடியும் இயேசு ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: நான் உலகத்திற்கு ஒளியாயிருக்கிறேன், என்னைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவன் இருளிலே நடவாமல் ஜீவஒளியை அடைந்திருப்பான் என்றார்.
13 அப்பொழுது பரிசேயர் அவரை நோக்கி: உன்னைக் குறித்து நீயே சாட்சிகொடுக்கிறாய்; உன்னுடைய சாட்சி உண்மையானதல்ல என்றார்கள்.
14 இயேசு அவர்களுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: என்னைக்குறித்து நானே சாட்சிகொடுத்தாலும், என் சாட்சி உண்மையாயிருக்கிறது; ஏனெனில் நான் எங்கேயிருந்து வந்தேனென்றும், எங்கே போகிறேனென்றும் அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்; நீங்களோ நான் எங்கேயிருந்து வருகிறேனென்றும், எங்கே போகிறேனென்றும் அறியீர்கள்.
15 நீங்கள் மாம்சத்துச்கேற்றபடி நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறீர்கள், நான் ஒருவனையும் நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறதில்லை.

28 ஆதலால் இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் மனுஷகுமாரனை உயர்த்தின பின்பு, நானே அவரென்றும், நான் என்சுயமாய் ஒன்றும் செய்யாமல், என் பிதா எனக்குப் போதித்தபடியே இவைகளைச் சொன்னேன் என்றும் அறிவீர்கள்.
29 என்னை அனுப்பினவர் என்னுடனேகூட இருக்கிறார், பிதாவுக்குப் பிரியமானவைகளை நான் எப்பொழுதும் செய்கிறபடியால் அவர் என்னைத் தனியே இருக்கவிடவில்லை என்றார்.
36 ஆகையால் குமாரன் உங்களை விடுதலையாக்கினால் மெய்யாகவே விடுதலையாவீர்கள்.
12. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
13. The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.
14. Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.
15. Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
16. And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
28. Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
29. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
36. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

4 கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய வழிகளை எனக்குத் தெரிவியும்; உம்முடைய பாதைகளை எனக்குப் போதித்தருளும்.
5 உம்முடைய சத்தியத்திலே என்னை நடத்தி, என்னைப் போதித்தருளும்; நீரே என் இரட்சிப்பின் தேவன், உம்மை நோக்கி நாள் முழுதும் காத்திருக்கிறேன்.
8 கர்த்தர் நல்லவரும் உத்தமருமாயிருக்கிறார்; ஆகையால் பாவிகளுக்கு வழியைத் தெரிவிக்கிறார்.
9 சாந்தகுணமுள்ளவர்களை நியாயத்திலே நடத்தி, சாந்தகுணமுள்ளவர்களுக்குத் தமது வழியைப் போதிக்கிறார்.
10 கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கையையும் அவருடைய சாட்சிகளையும் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களுக்கு, அவருடைய பாதைகளெல்லாம் கிருபையும் சத்தியமுமானவைகள்.

4 Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.
5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
8 Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
10 All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
12 What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
1 நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணும் இரண்டாம் வருஷத்திலே, நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் சொப்பனங்களைக் கண்டான்; அதினால், அவனுடைய ஆவி கலங்கி, அவனுடைய நித்திரை கலைந்தது.
2 அப்பொழுது ராஜா தன் சொப்பனங்களைத் தனக்குத் தெரிவிக்கும்பொருட்டு சாஸ்திரிகளையும் ஜோசியரையும் சூனியக்காரரையும் கல்தேயரையும் அழைக்கச்சொன்னான்; அவர்கள் வந்து, ராஜசமுகத்தில் நின்றார்கள்.
4 அப்பொழுது கல்தேயர் ராஜாவை நோக்கி: ராஜாவே, நீர் என்றும் வாழ்க; சொப்பனத்தை உமது அடியாருக்குச் சொல்லும், அப்பொழுது அதின் அர்த்தத்தை விடுவிப்போம் என்று சீரியபாஷையிலே சொன்னார்கள்.
5 ராஜா கல்தேயருக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: என்னிடத்திலிருந்து பிறக்கிற தீர்மானம் என்னவென்றால், நீங்கள் சொப்பனத்தையும் அதின் அர்த்தத்தையும் எனக்கு அறிவியாமற்போனால் துண்டித்துப்போடப்படுவீர்கள்; உங்கள் வீடுகள் எருக்களங்களாக்கப்படும்.
10 கல்தேயர் ராஜசமுகத்தில் பிரதியுத்தரமாக; ராஜா கேட்கும் காரியத்தை அறிவிக்கத்தக்க மனுஷன் பூமியில் ஒருவனும் இல்லை; ஆகையால் மகத்துவமும் வல்லமையுமான எந்த ராஜாவும் இப்படிப்பட்ட காரியத்தை ஒரு சாஸ்திரியினிடத்திலாவது ஜோசியனிடத்திலாவது கல்தேயனிடத்திலாவது கேட்டதில்லை.
13 ஞானிகளை கொலைசெய்யவேண்டுமென்ற கட்டளை வெளிப்பட்டபோது தானியேலையும் அவன் தோழரையும் கொலைசெய்யத் தேடினார்கள்.
16 தானியேல் ராஜாவினிடத்தில்போய், சொப்பனத்தின் அர்த்தத்தை ராஜாவுக்குக் காண்பிக்கும்படித் தனக்குத் தவணை கொடுக்க விண்ணப்பம் பண்ணினான்.
17 பின்பு தானியேல் தன் வீட்டுக்குப்போய், தானும் தன் தோழரும் பாபிலோனின் மற்ற ஞானிகளோடேகூட அழியாதபடிக்கு இந்த மறைபொருளைக்குறித்துப் பரலோகத்தின் தேவனை நோக்கி, இரக்கம் கேட்கிறதற்காக,
18 அனனியா, மீஷாவேல், அசரியா என்னும் தன்னுடைய தோழருக்கு இந்தக் காரியத்தை அறிவித்தான்.
19 பின்பு இராக்காலத்தில் தரிசனத்திலே தானியேலுக்கு மறைபொருள் வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்டது; அப்பொழுது தானியேல் பரலோகத்தின் தேவனை ஸ்தோத்திரித்தான்.
20 பின்பு தானியேல் சொன்னது: தேவனுடைய நாமத்துக்கு என்றென்றைக்குமுள்ள சதாகாலங்களிலும் ஸ்தோத்திரமுண்டாவதாக; ஞானமும் வல்லமையும் அவருக்கே உரியது.
25 அப்பொழுது ஆரியோகு தானியேலை ராஜாவின் முன்பாகத் தீவிரமாய் அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய்: சிறைப்பட்டுவந்த யூதேயா தேசத்தாரில் ஒரு புருஷனைக் கண்டுபிடித்தேன்; அவன் ராஜாவுக்கு அர்த்தத்தைத் தெரிவிப்பான் என்றான்.
26 ராஜா பெல்தெஷாத்சாரென்னும் நாமமுள்ள தானியேலை நோக்கி: நான் கண்ட சொப்பனத்தையும் அதின் அர்த்தத்தையும் நீ எனக்கு அறிவிக்கக்கூடுமா என்று கேட்டான்.
27 தானியேல் ராஜசமுகத்தில் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: ராஜா கேட்கிற மறைபொருளை ராஜாவுக்குத் தெரிவிக்க ஞானிகளாலும் ஜோசியராலும், சாஸ்திரிகளாலும், குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களாலும் கூடாது.
28 மறைபொருள்களை வெளிப்படுத்துகிற பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற தேவன் கடைசிநாட்களில் சம்பவிப்பதை ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சாருக்குத் தெரிவித்திருக்கிறார்; உம்முடைய சொப்பனமும் உமது படுக்கையின்மேல் உம்முடைய தலையில் உண்டான தரிசனங்களும் என்னவென்றால்.
1 ...in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from him.
2 Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, for to shew the king his dreams.
4 Then spake the Chaldeans to the king in Syriack, O king, live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation.
5 The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.
10 The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king’s matter:
13 And the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain.
16 Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation.
17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:
18 That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
19 Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.
20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
25 Then Arioch brought in Daniel before the king in haste, and said thus unto him, I have found a man of the captives of Judah, that will make known unto the king the interpretation.
26 The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof?
27 Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king;
28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days.
37 ஆகையால் நேபுகாத்நேச்சாராகிய நான் பரலோகத்தின் ராஜாவைப் புகழ்ந்து, உயர்த்தி மகிமைப்படுத்துகிறேன்; அவருடைய கிரியைகளெல்லாம் சத்தியமும், அவருடைய வழிகள் நியாயமுமானவைகள் அகந்தையாய் நடக்கிறவர்களைத் தாழ்த்த அவராலே ஆகும் என்று எழுதினான்.
37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment:
1 என் மகனே, என் போதகத்தை மறவாதே; உன் இருதயம் என் கட்டளைகளைக் காக்கக்கடவது.
2 அவைகள் உனக்கு நீடித்த நாட்களையும், தீர்க்காயுசையும், சமாதானத்தையும் பெருகப்பண்ணும்.
3 கிருபையும் சத்தியமும் உன்னைவிட்டு விலகாதிருப்பதாக; நீ அவைகளை உன் கழுத்திலே பூண்டு, அவைகளை உன் இருதயமாகிய பலகையில் எழுதிக்கொள்.
4 அதினால் தேவனுடைய பார்வையிலும் மனுஷருடைய பார்வையிலும் தயையும் நற்புத்தியும் பெறுவாய்.
1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5 கர்த்தர் நல்லவர், அவருடைய கிருபை என்றென்றைக்கும், அவருடைய உண்மை தலைமுறை தலைமுறைக்கும் உள்ளது.
5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
14 பாதிப் பண்டிகையானபோது, இயேசு தேவாலயத்துக்குப்போய், உபதேசம்பண்ணினார்.
15 அப்பொழுது யூதர்கள்: இவர் கல்லாதவராயிருந்தும் வேத எழுத்துக்களை எப்படி அறிந்திருக்கிறார் என்று ஆச்சரியப்பட்டார்கள்.
16 இயேசு அவர்களுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: என் உபதேசம் என்னுடையதாயிராமல், என்னை அனுப்பினவருடையதாயிருக்கிறது.
17 அவருடைய சித்தத்தின்படி செய்ய மனதுள்ளவனெவனோ அவன் இந்த உபதேசம் தேவனால் உண்டாயிருக்கிறதோ நான் சுயமாய்ப் பேசுகிறேனோ என்று அறிந்துகொள்ளுவான்.
18 சுயமாய்ப் பேசுகிறவன் தன் சுய மகிமையைத் தேடுகிறான், தன்னை அனுப்பினவரின் மகிமையைத் தேடுகிறவனோ உண்மையுள்ளவனாயிருக்கிறான், அவனிடத்தில் அநீதியில்லை.
14 Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.
15 And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?
16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
35 அதற்கு இயேசு: இன்னும் கொஞ்சக்காலம் ஒளி உங்களிடத்தில் இருக்கும்; இருளில் நீங்கள் அகப்படாதபடிக்கு ஒளி உங்களோடிருக்கையில் நடவுங்கள்; இருளில் நடக்கிறவன் தான் போகிற இடம் இன்னதென்று அறியான்.
46 என்னிடத்தில் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கிறவனெவனும் இருளில் இராதபடிக்கு, நான் உலகத்தில் ஒளியாக வந்தேன்.
35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
1 தேவனுடைய கிருபையை நீங்கள் விருதாவாய்ப் பெறாதபடிக்கு, உடன்வேலையாட்களாகிய நாங்கள் உங்களுக்குப் புத்திசொல்லுகிறோம்.
4 மிகுந்த பொறுமையிலும், உபத்திரவங்களிலும், நெருக்கங்களிலும், இடுக்கண்களிலும்,
6 கற்பிலும், அறிவிலும், நீடிய சாந்தத்திலும், தயவிலும், பரிசுத்த ஆவியிலும், மாயமற்ற அன்பிலும்,
7 சத்தியவசனத்திலும், திவ்விய பலத்திலும்; நீதியாகிய வலதிடதுபக்கத்து ஆயுதங்களைத் தரித்திருக்கிறதிலும்,
1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience,
6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
7 By the word of truth,
20 அன்றியும், நாம் சத்தியமுள்ளவரை அறிந்துகொள்வதற்கு தேவனுடைய குமாரன் வந்து நமக்குப் புத்தியைத் தந்திருக்கிறாரென்றும் அறிவோம்; அவருடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்து என்னப்பட்ட சத்தியமுள்ளவருக்குள்ளும் இருக்கிறோம்; இவரே மெய்யான தேவனும் நித்தியஜீவனுமாயிருக்கிறார்.
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
உண்மை என்பது அழியாத மனதின் புத்திசாலித்தனம்.
உண்மை என்பது பிழையை அகற்றும் ஒளி.
Truth is the intelligence of immortal Mind.
Truth is the light which dispels error.

The spiritual sense of truth must be gained before Truth can be understood. This sense is assimilated only as we are honest, unselfish, loving, and meek. In the soil of an "honest and good heart" the seed must be sown;

Being is holiness, harmony, immortality. It is already proved that a knowledge of this, even in small degree, will uplift the physical and moral standard of mortals, will increase longevity, will purify and elevate character. Thus progress will finally destroy all error, and bring immortality to light.

The best sermon ever preached is Truth practised and demonstrated by the destruction of sin, sickness, and death. Knowing this and knowing too that one affection would be supreme in us and take the lead in our lives, Jesus said, "No man can serve two masters."
We cannot build safely on false foundations. Truth makes a new creature, in whom old things pass away and "all things are become new." Passions, selfishness, false appetites, hatred, fear, all sensuality, yield to spirituality, and the superabundance of being is on the side of God, good.
We cannot fill vessels already full. They must first be emptied. Let us disrobe error. Then, when the winds of God blow, we shall not hug our tatters close about us.
The way to extract error from mortal mind is to pour in truth through flood-tides of Love. Christian perfection is won on no other basis.

"Canst thou by searching find out God?" It is easier to desire Truth than to rid one's self of error. Mortals may seek the understanding of Christian Science, but they will not be able to glean from Christian Science the facts of being without striving for them. This strife consists in the endeavor to forsake error of every kind and to possess no other consciousness but good.

In order to apprehend more, we must put into practice what we already know. We must recollect that Truth is demonstrable when understood, and that good is not understood until demonstrated. If "faithful over a few things," we shall be made rulers over many; but the one unused talent decays and is lost. When the sick or the sinning awake to realize their need of what they have not, they will be receptive of divine Science, which gravitates towards Soul and away from material sense, removes thought from the body, and elevates even mortal mind to the contemplation of something better than disease or sin. The true idea of God gives the true understanding of Life and Love, robs the grave of victory, takes away all sin and the delusion that there are other minds, and destroys mortality.

Before human knowledge dipped to its depths into a false sense of things, — into belief in material origins which discard the one Mind and true source of being, — it is possible that the impressions from Truth were as distinct as sound, and that they came as sound to the primitive prophets. If the medium of hearing is wholly spiritual, it is normal and indestructible.

Divine Science derives its sanction from the Bible, and the divine origin of Science is demonstrated through the holy influence of Truth in healing sickness and sin. This healing power of Truth must have been far anterior to the period in which Jesus lived. It is as ancient as "the Ancient of days." It lives through all Life, and extends throughout all space.

Because Truth is infinite, error should be known as nothing. Because Truth is omnipotent in goodness, error, Truth's opposite, has no might. Evil is but the counterpoise of nothingness. The greatest wrong is but a supposititious opposite of the highest right. The confidence inspired by Science lies in the fact that Truth is real and error is unreal. Error is a coward before Truth. Divine Science insists that time will prove all this. Both truth and error have come nearer than ever before to the apprehension of mortals, and truth will become still clearer as error is self-destroyed.

The understanding that the Ego is Mind, and that there is but one Mind or intelligence, begins at once to destroy the errors of mortal sense and to supply the truth of immortal sense. This understanding makes the body harmonious; it makes the nerves, bones, brain, etc., servants, instead of masters. If man is governed by the law of divine Mind, his body is in submission to everlasting Life and Truth and Love.

We are Christian Scientists, only as we quit our reliance upon that which is false and grasp the true. We are not Christian Scientists until we leave all for Christ. Human opinions are not spiritual. They come from the hearing of the ear, from corporeality instead of from Principle, and from the mortal instead of from the immortal. Spirit is not separate from God. Spirit is God.
We walk in the footsteps of Truth and Love by following the example of our Master in the understanding of divine metaphysics.
